3 Exciting Things!

I want to cap off World Doula Week (March 22 - 28) with some exciting news:

1. I'm Certified!

I'm proud to say I have completed my certification as a birth and postpartum doula through Doula Canada. I have learned so much on this journey toward certification and am proud of my accomplishments. I overcame a lot of self-doubt and surprised myself more than once. I am grateful to all the families that welcomed me as their doula through my certification process and helped me reach this milestone.

2. I'm pre-approved!

I'm now on the BCAAFC Aboriginal Families Doula Grant Program pre-approved doula list for both birth and postpartum doula services. I'm suuuuuuuper excited about this because one of my primary goals as a doula is to provide support to Indigenous families. The BCAAFC is currently accepting grant applications from families with due dates up to June 2019.

3. I'm working with Doula Canada!

I have accepted a new position within Doula Canada. As their Indigenous Doula Consultant, I will supporting Indigenous doula trainees, contributing to curriculum development, and fostering relationships with Indigenous communities across Canada. This is an exciting part-time position, which means I can continue to offer support to families as a birth and postpartum doula.
